All questions
What products do you use in exam rooms?

EPA List N registered disinfectants, usually an accelerated hydrogen peroxide product with a 1–3 minute contact time, applied and left wet for the full label time before wiping. If your infection-control lead has standardized on a specific product, we use that one and keep its SDS on site.

Do you handle medical waste?

No. Sharps, red-bag waste, suction canisters and anything with blood or body fluids go through your licensed medical waste carrier. We handle general trash, recycling and non-contaminated paper. Soiled linens bagged by staff we move to the pickup point without opening them.

How do you prevent cross-contamination?

Color-coded microfiber, the same scheme we use on every job: red for toilets, yellow for restroom sinks and counters, blue for kitchens and break rooms, green for general dusting in exam rooms and offices. Separate mops and buckets for clinical and admin floors. Gloves changed between rooms. Cloths are laundered separately by color at high temperature.

What documentation do you provide?

A checklist signed per visit and kept on site, SDS sheets for every product, and a monthly summary of what was cleaned and anything we noticed, such as a leaking faucet or a worn floor seal. It is written for the person who has to answer an auditor.

What hours do you work?

After hours: after you close, overnight, or on your day off, whatever keeps us out of your way. A midday restroom and waiting-room pass can be added for busier practices.

Are you insured and licensed?

Shining Cleanse LLC carries general liability insurance, $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, and sends a COI on request. We are not bonded. We hold city business licenses in ten cities across Snohomish and King County. Your practice or landlord can be named as additional insured where your lease requires it.

What’s included

In medical cleaning, dwell time and zone separation matter more than how a room looks. In exam and operatory rooms we wipe every horizontal surface, equipment exteriors, cabinet and drawer pulls, light handles, stools and the door handle inside and out with an EPA List N disinfectant and leave it wet for the full contact time on the label. Spraying and wiping immediately is not disinfecting, so we do not do it.

In the waiting room we disinfect the check-in counter, sign-in surfaces, chair arms, pens, door pulls and the water cooler handle, and vacuum the carpet or floor. Restrooms are cleaned with detergent first, then disinfected, including flush handles, grab bars, locks and dispensers, and the floor is mopped with disinfectant. Clinical floors get their own mop and bucket; admin areas get a different set. Lab and sterilization room exteriors are wiped; we do not open autoclaves or specimen fridges. A checklist is signed and left on site every visit.

How it works

  1. Text (425) 539-5492 or use the commercial form: practice type, square footage, number of exam rooms and restrooms, your preferred disinfectant if you have one, and when the practice is empty. We reply the same business day, Mon–Fri 9am–7pm, Sat 9am–5pm.
  2. Send photos and a floor plan; we ask any questions by text, then send a written scope by zone and frequency with a per-visit price the next business day.
  3. First visit is a restorative clean; then the schedule starts. Your infection-control lead can change the product list at any time.
  4. Monthly invoice, Net 15, or a card on file. 30 days notice to cancel.

Medical and dental visits take longer than an office of the same size because of disinfectant contact times, zone separation and documentation. Recurring contracts are priced as maintenance visits after the first clean, based on the time the visit actually takes; ask for a written proposal. Prices are set from your photos and floor plan and confirmed in writing. Carpet extraction in reception and admin areas can be added quarterly.

Steam where it helps

Dry steam at 290°F at the nozzle is useful in restrooms, on grout and on sealed hard surfaces where chemical residue is a concern. It is not a substitute for an EPA-registered disinfectant where your protocol requires one, so we use both: steam for grime and residue-free surfaces, List N products with dwell time for disinfection.

Limits we are upfront about

We are environmental cleaners, not clinical staff. We do not do between-patient turnover, we do not touch regulated medical waste, and we do not perform terminal cleans for spore-forming exposures unless your medical director specifies the sporicidal product and protocol in writing. If a practice needs those, we are glad to say so before you sign anything.
