Deep cleaning: baseboards, inside cabinets, vents and fixtures

Deep cleaning is everything in a standard clean plus the places regular cleanings skip: baseboards and door frames hand-wiped, inside cabinets, behind movable appliances, vents, light fixtures and bathroom scale. It is $300 for a studio or 1 bedroom (5 work hours at $60) and takes 5–10 work hours for a typical home. If your home hasn't had one in a while, it is usually the right first booking.

from $300

$120 an hour for two cleaners ($60 per person-hour), confirmed in writing before the visit. Studio or 1 bedroom $300 (5 work hours), 2 bedrooms $360 (6), 3 bedrooms $480 (8), typical 4-bedroom home $600 (10); very large homes are quoted.

Homes: $120 an hour for the two of us ($60 per person-hour), $240 minimum (two of us for 2 hours). Finish early, pay less. Extra time only after your yes. Insured ($1M/$2M general liability), not bonded.

All questions
How long does a deep cleaning take?

A 2 bedroom is about 6 work hours (two of us for 3 hours) and a 3 bedroom about 8 work hours; a typical 4 bedroom about 10. We confirm the hours in writing when we quote, based on size, condition and the add-ons you choose. If it needs more time, we text you before the time is up and keep going only after your yes.

Is deep cleaning worth the extra cost?

If you have never had a professional deep clean, usually yes: months of buildup sit in places a standard clean does not reach, and a standard clean only maintains the level you start at. If your home is already kept up, you may not need one, and we will tell you so. After one deep clean, standard or recurring visits keep you there.

Do you offer discounts?

We do not use discount codes; everyone pays the same published prices. After a first deep clean, recurring visits have their own fixed price per visit, and the more often we come, the less each visit costs.

What is not included by default?

Inside fridge ($56), inside oven ($56), interior windows ($86), garage ($106) and carpet extraction ($59 per room, minimum two rooms) are add-ons. They are listed at booking so there are no surprises on the day.

Do you do post-construction or post-renovation cleans?

Yes, quoted separately. Fine drywall dust takes 2–3 times the time. Send us photos and we will give you a number before we come.

How often should a home be deep cleaned?

Many recurring clients book a deep clean every 3–4 months on top of their regular visits, or once a year if the home is well maintained. Before hosting, after an illness, or after a renovation are the other common reasons.

What’s included

A deep cleaning goes where regular cleanings do not. On top of the full standard checklist, we hand-wipe every baseboard and door frame, dust and wipe light fixtures and ceiling fans, clean vent covers and exhaust grilles, and pull out the stove if it rolls so the floor behind it gets cleaned for the first time in years. Empty cabinets and drawers get a full interior wipe; cabinets in use get doors, handles and the visible shelf edges.

Bathrooms get scale treatment: dry steam first, then an acid-free descaler on shower glass, faucets and shower heads. Visible scuffs and splatters on walls are spot-cleaned. Dishes get done. The whole visit takes roughly twice the time of a standard clean, which is where the price difference comes from.

The included list at the top of this page is the full task list. Put it next to another company’s quote and compare line by line.

Who books this

  • First-time clients. We usually suggest a deep clean first, then shorter maintenance visits.
  • Recurring clients booking a quarterly reset on top of bi-weekly visits.
  • Post-renovation homes with fine dust in every corner (quoted separately, see FAQ).
  • Hosts preparing for family visits or a party.
  • Homes after a long illness or a busy season, when bathrooms and bedrooms need a full top-to-bottom reset.
  • Homes with pets or a lot of dust, where baseboards and vents get missed between regular cleans.

How it works

  1. Send a text to (425) 539-5492 or fill in the form: city, bedrooms and bathrooms, how long since the last thorough clean, any add-ons. Photos help.
  2. We reply with the hours and the price in writing the same business day, Mon–Fri 9am–7pm, Sat 9am–5pm. If you have a specific concern, say an oven that has not been cleaned in years, tell us so we can plan the time.
  3. We arrive on the agreed day with steam, a vacuum, color-coded microfiber and plant-based products. You do not need to be home.
  4. Walk-through at the end, or photos by text. Pay by card or Zelle on completion.

We price home cleaning by work hours: $120 an hour for the two of us, which is $60 per person-hour. Hours depend on square footage and condition. We confirm the hours and the price in writing before the visit, and if the home needs more time than booked we text you before the time is up and keep going only after your yes. You pay for the hours we actually work: never more than the written price without your yes, never less than the minimum. See the hourly packages.

What we clean with

Most of the heavy work in a deep clean is done by dry steam at 290°F at the nozzle: grout, tub and shower, around the toilet base, stovetop, exhaust hood. Heat loosens grime so it wipes off with microfiber. For stubborn spots we use plant-based degreasers and EPA Safer Choice products. We only bring bleach if you ask for it and we tell you when we use it.

Limits we are upfront about

We clean to about 8 feet. We do not do full wall washing, exterior windows above the ground floor, mold remediation beyond surface mold, or hoarding cleanouts. If a deep clean turns out to need much more time than described, we tell you before we start.
