Daycare cleaning after closing, with a log for your licensor

Visits start at $447 for centers under 1,500 sq ft, and most centers book 2–5 visits a week.

All questions
What does WAC 110-300 require from our cleaner?

The rule sets the minimum for licensed programs: food-contact surfaces, diapering areas, toilet rooms and mouthed toys treated daily with EPA-registered products used per label, zone separation so restroom tools never touch food areas, and schedules a licensor can see. Your licensor audits you, not us, so we keep the log and product list on site in your binder.

How do you clean toys?

Staff put toys for cleaning in bins at the end of the day. We steam hard toys with dry steam at 290°F (water only, no product), or run dishwasher-safe bins if you prefer, and return them. Plush toys follow your protocol, usually a hot dryer cycle run by staff.

What products do you use around kids?

EPA-registered disinfectants on the surfaces the rule requires, left for the full dwell time and then wiped, and EPA Safer Choice cleaners everywhere else. No bleach unless your director asks for it for a specific purpose, and no fragrance sprays.

How often should a center be cleaned?

In-home programs with up to 12 children: 2 visits a week with staff handling daily wipe-downs. Centers with 13–30 children: 3 visits a week minimum, many choose 5. Larger centers: every evening plus a weekend deep clean. For a center with more than 15 children, once a week usually isn't enough.

When do you come?

After hours: after the last pickup, overnight, or on your day off, including weekends for deep cleans, whatever keeps us out of your way. Floors are dry long before morning drop-off.

Are you licensed and insured?

Shining Cleanse LLC carries general liability insurance, $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, with a COI on request. We are not bonded. We hold city business licenses in each of the ten cities we serve. Both owners can provide background checks on request.

What’s included

A daycare has several zones, and each one needs a different approach. The entry and cubby area collects outdoor dirt and the day’s first hand contact, so hooks, shelves, sign-in surfaces and door handles are disinfected with the full dwell time. Tables and high chairs are cleaned first with a food-safe cleaner to remove the yogurt and glue, then disinfected, including undersides, chair backs and tray seams where things hide.

Toys that staff have set aside in bins are steamed or washed and returned. Child-height restrooms are done with red-zone cloths that never leave the restroom, steam on fixtures and grout, disinfectant on every flush handle, faucet and dispenser, and the floor last with a fresh mop head. Diapering stations get a 10-minute dwell and single-use cloths with separate disposal. Nap cots and mats are wiped or steamed per your protocol. Floors are cleaned by surface type, vents and returns are wiped monthly, and entry mats are shaken out. A log of what was done and which products were used stays on site.

How it works

  1. Text (425) 539-5492 or use the commercial form: program type, number of children, square footage, number of restrooms and diapering stations, and closing time. We reply the same business day, Mon–Fri 9am–7pm, Sat 9am–5pm.
  2. Send photos and a floor plan; we ask about zones, surfaces and your product rules by text, then send a written scope and per-visit price the next business day.
  3. If you are switching providers, we start on your off-days alongside the current vendor so there is no gap, then take over once you have seen the result.
  4. Monthly invoice, Net 15, or a card on file. 30 days notice to cancel.

Daycares cost more than an office of the same size because dwell times, toy handling and documentation take longer. Prices are set from your photos and floor plan and confirmed in writing.

What cleaning can’t do

Cleaning doesn’t prevent illness, and we don’t claim it does. We do not make claims about dust mites, allergens or viruses beyond what a product label states. If something was missed, tell us before we leave and we fix it on the spot; if you notice it later, text within 24 hours and we come back at no charge.
