House and carpet cleaning in Kirkland, WA

Kirkland is a Lake Washington city: four miles of public waterfront with Marina Park downtown, Juanita Beach to the north and Houghton Beach to the south, a walkable Park Lane of restaurants and shops, and a tech economy anchored by Google’s campus and many smaller software companies. About 95,000 people live here across ZIP codes 98033 and 98034.

Homes in Kirkland

Housing in Kirkland is varied and often expensive to maintain: waterfront and view homes in Houghton and Lakeview, mid-century ranches and split-levels on Finn Hill and in Juanita, newer townhouses and condominiums downtown and around Totem Lake, and the Kingsgate subdivisions to the northeast. Hardwood floors, natural stone counters and large windows are common, so we ask about surfaces before the first visit and use the right cleaner for each. Downtown condos have garage parking and loading rules we need in advance; the hill neighborhoods are easy.

What fits here

Recurring weekly or bi-weekly cleaning with a quarterly deep clean often suits Kirkland households. Upholstery cleaning fits the fabric sofas and sectionals in family rooms here. Short-term rentals near the waterfront and downtown can book turnover cleaning arranged by text, with photos after every turn. Commercially, the small offices and professional suites downtown and in Totem Lake, and the retail storefronts on Park Lane and Central Way, fit our after-hours service.

A little about the city

Kirkland was founded in 1888 by Peter Kirk, an English industrialist who planned a massive steel mill on the lakeshore, the Pittsburgh of the West, to supply the western railroads. The Panic of 1893 ended the project before the mill opened; a few of his original buildings still stand downtown. The town incorporated in 1905, and the opening of the Lake Washington Ship Canal in 1916 lowered the lake by nine feet, exposing the shoreline that became today’s beach parks. Costco Wholesale was headquartered in Kirkland until 2001, and the Kirkland Signature brand is named after the city. The Cross Kirkland Corridor, a rails-to-trails path, runs 5.75 miles through town.
