How Much to Clean a 1-Bedroom Apartment (2026 Prices)
How much to clean a 1 bedroom apartment or studio in 2026: standard, deep, move-out and recurring prices, hours and add-ons. Text for a written price.
By Yuri and Tatiana, owners of Shining Cleanse LLC, a family cleaning company based in Everett, WA and licensed in 10 cities across Snohomish and King County.
A professional clean of a 1-bedroom apartment costs $240 with us for a first standard clean, $300 for a deep clean and $360 for a move-out clean in 2026. Recurring visits have a fixed price per visit: $270 weekly, $290 every two weeks or $320 monthly. A studio is priced the same, because our one-time minimum is 4 work hours.
We price one-time cleans by work hours: $60 for one person for one hour. Two of us cleaning for 2 hours is 4 work hours, $240. Below is what each of those prices buys in a small apartment, how long it takes and what changes the number.
How much does a 1-bedroom apartment cleaning cost?
Here is every price we publish for a studio or 1-bedroom, the same numbers as on our pricing page:
| Service | Price | Work hours | Time with two of us |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard clean, first visit | $240 | 4 | about 2 hours |
| Deep clean, normal condition | $300 | 5 | about 2.5 hours |
| Move-in or move-out clean | $360 | 6 | about 3 hours |
| Weekly recurring visit | $270 | not hourly | fixed price per visit |
| Every-two-weeks visit | $290 | not hourly | fixed price per visit |
| Monthly visit | $320 | not hourly | fixed price per visit |
The price on the written quote is what you pay. Recurring visits cost the same even if a visit runs long. On one-time cleans, if we finish early, you pay for the hours we worked, never less than the minimum. If the apartment needs more time than quoted, we text you before the time is up and continue only after your yes.
What a standard house cleaning covers in that time: every room dusted, floors vacuumed and mopped, the kitchen counters, stovetop, microwave inside and sink, the bathroom cleaned top to bottom with steam where the surface allows, beds made if linens are left out, trash out. We bring all supplies and equipment.
How much is a cleaning for a studio apartment?
The same $240 for a first standard clean. A studio has less floor than a 1-bedroom, but the kitchen and bathroom take most of the time in any home, and a studio still has both. Our one-time minimum is 4 work hours, so a studio that takes 3.5 work hours is still $240.
Where a studio does save money is the move-out. A studio move-out often takes 5 work hours instead of 6, which makes it $300 instead of $360. We confirm the hours in writing from your photos before the visit.
Recurring visits are not a cheaper way to clean a small place: a weekly visit to a studio is a fixed $270, a little more than a one-time standard clean. What you get is a home kept at that level every week, the same owners each time and one rotating extra on each visit.
Before
AfterHow much does a deep clean of a 1-bedroom apartment cost?
$300 for an apartment in normal condition, 5 work hours. A deep clean adds the things a standard visit skips: baseboards and door frames wiped by hand, the inside of empty cabinets, behind the stove if it rolls out, light fixtures, vents and the scale on shower glass, faucets and shower heads.
A deep clean is usually the right first booking if the apartment has not had a thorough clean in a few months. A standard visit on top of old buildup spends its time on the buildup and still leaves some of it. Inside the fridge and oven are add-ons on a deep clean, $56 each. Our article on deep cleaning cost in Washington has the larger home sizes and a room-by-room list.
How many hours does it take to clean a 1-bedroom apartment?
From our price list:
- standard clean: 4 work hours, about 2 hours with two of us
- deep clean: 5 work hours, about 2.5 hours
- move-out clean: 6 work hours, about 3 hours
- weekly maintenance: not priced by the hour, a fixed $270 per visit
Condition changes those numbers more than square footage does. A 650 sq ft apartment with a cat, a gas range used every night and a shower that has not been descaled in a year can take as long as a tidy 900 sq ft one. That is why we quote from 2–4 photos rather than from a size alone. The kitchen and bathroom photos tell us the most.
How much is recurring cleaning for a small apartment or condo?
For a studio or 1-bedroom, per visit and per month:
| Schedule | Per visit | About per month | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekly | $270 | $1,170 | $14,040 |
| Every two weeks | $290 | $628 | $7,540 |
| Monthly | $320 | $320 | $3,840 |
Monthly visits cost more per visit than weekly ones because a month of buildup takes longer to clean. Recurring prices start after a first standard or deep clean. Add $20 per bathroom over one. There is no contract, and you can skip a visit with 24 hours notice at no charge. For most small apartments, every two weeks is enough. Weekly makes sense with pets, two people working from home or a lot of cooking.
Is move-out cleaning for a 1-bedroom priced differently?
Yes, because it is a different job. A move-out clean of an empty apartment is $360 (6 work hours). Inside the fridge, the oven and interior windows with tracks and sills are included; on other services they are add-ons. Every cabinet and drawer is wiped inside, closets are cleaned, and we send before and after photos you can forward to your landlord.
Carpet is separate. Our move-out carpet package for a 1-bedroom is $220, or $200 when booked in the same visit as the clean. What else moves a move-out price is in move-out cleaning cost in the Seattle area.
What makes a small apartment cost more?
A few things change the hours on a studio or 1-bedroom:
- a second bathroom, which can add as much time as a bedroom
- pets that shed heavily, a $42 add-on because the floors take longer
- add-ons: inside the fridge or oven $56 each, interior windows $86, a balcony or patio $56, laundry $46
- clutter on counters and floors, since we clean surfaces rather than move piles
- a first visit after a long gap, which is usually better booked as a deep clean
What does not change the price with us: travel within our ten licensed cities, the floor you live on or how you pay. There are no supply fees, trip charges or “small home” surcharges. If a fee is not on the written quote, it is not on the bill. For a wider look at prices across home sizes, see house cleaning cost in Snohomish and King County.
Our jobFAQ
Do I need to be home for an apartment cleaning?
No. Many clients leave a key with the building office, a lockbox or a door code, and we lock up after. Tell us how the building entry and parking work when you book. If you are out, we send photos at the end.
Do you clean apartments in Lynnwood?
Yes. We are licensed in Lynnwood and nine other cities in Snohomish and King County, and the prices above are the same in every one of them.
Is it cheaper to book one person for a short visit?
Not with us: the one-time minimum is 4 work hours ($240) whether one or two of us come, and that is the lowest price we offer. Recurring visits have a fixed price per visit, from $270 weekly.
Do you bring a vacuum and supplies to an apartment?
Yes. We bring a vacuum, a steam cleaner, color-coded microfiber and plant-based products. If you want a specific product used on a specific surface, leave it out and tell us.
